In Washington, DC and Arlington, VA, the Capital Bikeshare program now gives residents and visitors access to 1,100 bikes at more than 110 self-serve outdoor stations. Annual, monthly and daily subscriptions are available, and the first 30 minutes of riding are included in the price of the membership. The program is aimed at travelers needing to move from point A to point B, and the stations have been strategically placed near metros, trails and other high traffic areas.
