The National Bike Summit recently wrapped up in Washington D.C. despite some very cold weather conditions. As part of the Summit was the Women’s Bicycling Forum, which seeks to expand the number of women who ride bicycles. One notable part of this year’s Forum was a group of 11 women from the group We Bike NYC, who rode the 262 miles from NYC to DC to participate in the Forum. They helped fund their journey with the video below and a fundraising campaign called We Bike to DC. You can check out why they ride below, and learn more about their journey in this Streetsblog article. Way to go!Header image source: Streegsblog via We Bike to DC.
