Overview
Enter the Sandman: the biggest plus-sized tire in the Teravail lineup is the Coronado and how do we put this, it is the sort of tire that makes you wanna cross the road without holding your mum’s hand. True to a 3.0″ size, the Coronado is a plus tire built with sandy trails in mind.
The Teravail Coronado comes in 27.5 x 3.0″ and 29” x 2.8” tubeless ready configurations. The Coronado’s tread and profile are in keeping with its purpose: to traverse loose sandy terrain. Timid and sparse knobs dot the center tread with slightly more aggressive side knobs showing up towards the edges of the tire creating an overall tread pattern that offers traction and floatation on the sand. It comes in both of Teravail’s casing options including the Light & Supple without protection, and the Durable casing with bead to tread shoulder sidewall protection.
Beefy even by MTB standards, the Teravail Coronado MTB Tire looks like it should be tested for steroids and is in our opinion the kind of tire that will serve you well for those moments when you happen to be trying to catch up to camels in a sandy desert somewhere.
