Goatlinks are designed to optimize the derailleur’s position relative to your cassette. Offered in two versions – a 10-speed and 11-speed, each is intended to improve the shifting of your 1x drivetrain.


Overview

Made by Lindarets and Wolf Tooth, the GoatLink helps 10- and 11-speed Shimano mountain bike derailleurs work smoother, last longer, and handle bigger cassettes. It adjusts the derailleur’s position for better performance on 1x drivetrains.

For 10-Speed:
The GoatLink 10 moves your Shimano Shadow+ 10-speed clutch derailleur into the right spot for big cassettes (like 40T or 42T). This means better shifting, less wear, and reliable chain grip for 1×10 setups.

For 11-Speed:
The GoatLink 11 tweaks Shimano 11-speed derailleurs (SLX, XT, or XTR) to work with SRAM 10-42t cassettes or even bigger 10-44t setups. It keeps the chain at the right length (like Shimano intended) and improves grip on the smallest gear by 27%. Combines Shimano’s smooth shifting with SRAM’s wide gear range for a quiet, lightweight ride.

GoatLink 10 

  • Compatibility:
    • Works with Wolf Tooth 40T/42T GC cassettes, Drop-Stop chainrings, or any 11-40t/11-42t 10-speed cassette.
    • Not compatible with direct-mount frames or SRAM derailleurs.
    • Fits 2013+ Shimano 10-speed Shadow+ derailleurs with 8mm Direct Mount link (7.9–8.1mm thick).

      • 40T: +69% | 42T: +53%
    • Shifting precision:
      • 40T: +25% | 42T: +19%
    • No extra b-screw needed for big cassettes.

GoatLink 11 

  • Cassette Compatibility:
    • Works best: 10-42t, 10-44t (with Wolf Tooth GCX44), 11-45t, 11-46t.
    • Requires GS/SGS derailleur: 11-45t, 11-46t, 10-42t, 10-44t.
    • Not optimized: 10-45t, 9-44t.
  • Compatibility:
    • Derailleurs: Shimano SLX M7000, XT M8000, XTR M9000 (11-speed).
    • Not compatible: Shimano RD-RX812/RD-RX817 (31T capacity limit), SRAM derailleurs, or direct-mount frames.
    • Chainrings:
      • Supports 2x setups only with a long-cage (SGS) derailleur and ≤12t front chainring difference (with 11-46t cassette).
      • No triple chainrings.

  • GS/SGS derailleurs = Mid-cage (GS) or long-cage (SGS) for larger cassettes.
  • Both versions focus on 1x systems but allow limited 2x setups (GoatLink 11 only).

GENERAL ONE YEAR WARRANTY

Wolf Tooth Components has a warranty on its products to be free from defects in materials or workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the original date of purchase.

WARRANTY LIMITATIONS

Any Wolf Tooth Components product that is found to be defective in materials or workmanship will be repaired or replaced at the sole discretion of Wolf Tooth Components provided it is returned to the factory freight prepaid. This warranty does not cover damage or failure resulting from misuse, abuse, alteration, neglect, normal and reasonable wear and tear, crash or impact, failure to perform routine maintenance as instructed, or use other than that for which the product was intended.

If a defect is found, our entire liability and your sole remedy shall be, at our option, free repair or replacement of the Wolf Tooth Components product. Wolf Tooth Components shall not be held liable for any indirect, special, or consequential damages. This written express warranty is in lieu of all other warranties, implied or expressed, and does not cover any representation or warranty made by dealers beyond the provisions of this warranty.
