***Please Note: Brooks saddles utilize a rail system that flares out much further up on the saddle than other saddles, shortening the available mounting area both for seat posts and for saddle accessories designed to fit the standard rail width. In some occasions Ortlieb Saddle Bags will still work, such as if seatpost with a minimalist style clamp such as Thompson is used and the seat is slid back as much as possible. However generally these products do not play well together.

Great medium bag

I use this on my gravel bike, and it’s perfect for what I need. I ca easily fit in a tube, 2 Co2 canisters and inflator, multi tool with chain breaker, tiny rag. Very stable and waterproof.

The Bike Shop Hub guys really know their product and their market. Always close to the lowest price on the web, and the customer service is outstanding. The Ortlieb Saddle Bag Micro: the first thing I do with Ortlieb saddle bags (most other brands, too) is remove the quick release hardware completely and attach it to the bike with a leather toe-clip strap. Quick enough for me. Otherwise it hangs in an awkward position, an inch or more from the saddle, and the QR hardware rattles, and the contents rattle unless it is stuffed full. Ortlieb could stand to lose the giant plastic nuts that hold the plastic stiffener and the QR hardware, too, because they take up too much room and make it difficult to slide that last tool or rag in there. I use three sizes of Ortlieb saddle bag on various bikes, because they keep the contents dry and they eschew zippers, which I find inconvenient and unreliable. Also they come in reasonable colors. My five stars is for the store AND the bag — I may remove their hardware and use a strap, but still, it seems the best of the tough, waterproof seat bags.
