Cost Effective Repair
Cool Slideshows RL sent over a pair of Specialized clip-less shoes that needed repair. The fastener was worn out and started to split. We have sewing machines at the shop to repair parachutes so I decided to try to repair the damaged strap. All it took was a scrap piece of Velcro and black thread….

Active Tunes REVIEW
Active Tunes i-RIDE bicycle stereo system has to be one of the most fun items I’ve reviewed in a while. Pros: Keeps your ears free to listen to your surrounding. Not too loud where you couldn’t hear cars going by or other bicyclists riding by. It’s loud enough to hear the music clearly but not…
Tips on Fixing A Flat
Today I rode the RedLine 925 to church, but I was sidelined when a big nail got my rear wheel. As I go through my bag, I realized that I didn’t have any tire levers. I used a tree and the support thingy as my repair stand. Since I didn’t have any levers, I had…
New York City Century Ride
I rode today in the New York City Century. I did all one hundred miles on my fixed gear, which got some attention. There were others riding fixed at the start, but I didn’t see any track bikes besides mine at the finish. What kind of training did I do to be able to tackle…
Foggy Ride To City Island
Carl, Allen and I rode to City Island this morning. We started at 6:00 am because Allen had to be at work this morning. It was a bit chilly and really foggy. It seemed like I got drenched from the moisture within a few minutes. It was Carl’s first time out by bike with us…
Midnight Ride
Last night my buddy Allen and I decided to go out for a midnight ride. I figure it’s a perfect opportunity to show off the Princeton Tec Eos Bike. It would blow your mind on how bright this tiny light is. Allen and I switched bikes halfway through our ride so he could check out…
KHS Urban Xtreme First Impression
If you read my previous post, today I got to ride a sweet bike. The KHS Urban Xtreme was a real pleasure to ride to work today. I installed a rear rack so I can use the Banjo Brothers Panniers, it’s too hot to ride with a messenger bag. I rode my 21 mile commute…
Reflections
On my way to work this morning, I found myself staring at my reflection from an SUV in front of me. I even pedaled faster to keep from loosing my reflection. I felt like a little kid. Come to think of it, I look at my reflection from window shops as well. Do you guys…
I'm back in the saddle again….
Let’s see… a dude on a flatbed looked at me and decided to make a right turn right in front of me, an undecided driver decides to invade my lane to make a right turn, one a-hole on a big ram truck honked at me ’cause I was taking the lane, hellos and good mornings…
What Do You Like About Your Bike Shop
Even though there are at least 5 different bike shops in my area, I drive about 50 miles each way just to go to my favorite shop, RPM Cyclery in Lake Elsinore. I have a number of reasons why I choose to make the extra drive, not because Scott, the owner gives me sweet deals…
Jenson USA Ride
JensonUSA was hosting a ride on a trail 7 miles away from my house. I had never been on the trail so I was curious ride it. Last time I rode MTB was about 4 months ago, so my MTB skills were rusty. I also had a few beers on friday night, but I had…
Trikke Bike Update
It’s been a while since we’ve mentioned the Trikke Bikke. So I decided to show y’all how it’s doing and what we’ve been using it for.

Vonage Commercial Runner-up
Emily uses her surrey to take her 3 younger children, and sometimes her teenage son too, to local stores and around the neighborhood. She has also been known to nurse her infant while she pedals. Do I even have to say anything?
