Schwalbe Marathon Winter Studded Tires (700×40)
Schwalbe Marathon Winter studded tires are for-keeps. They ride on snow and ice as-advertised: capably, confidently, with nary a slip to be found. Better yet, they ride super-well on the pave’, too, without many of the troubling handling traits and noise complaints common with other studded tires.

Bike Vigil in Tucson for Shooting Victims
I never would have thought that a video could be so moving, when it merely shows cyclists riding around at night. But this video from Tucson Velo shows the turnout for a bike vigil held yesterday for the victims of the shooting in Tucson on Saturday, January 8. The gunman killed six, and injured 13, including Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, who is also a cyclist and cycling advocate.

Motor Kit Methadone for Internal Combustion Junkies
I believe there is something about internal combustion that is deeply embedded in the American soul. I realized this after living abroad, in Africa. I didn’t set foot on American soil for more than two years. It was in Africa where I learned to maintain a motorcycle engine. When I returned to the USA, I set out on a three-month motorcycle tour to rediscover my country.

State of the Hub: 2011!
2010 was quite the year for the Campfire Cycling. We grew up and moved out of the shop behind my house into a 4000 square foot warehouse with offices and a metalworking shop. We reorganized all of our web stores into our shared site platform and launched our third shop, BikeKidShop.com. We took the reigns…

2010 Utility Cycling Year in Review
On December 31, 2009, we published the first ever Utility Cycling Year in Review. At the time, Utility Cycling was actually only one 1/2 year old, but we had enough material to warrant a review nonetheless. Now, another year has passed, and Utility Cycling is continuing to grow and evolve, so we wanted to step…
