Overview

Enhance the versatility of your B.O.B.

Upgrade or extend the use of your BOB Yak or Ibex trailer with a replacement fork.  The BOB Ibex fork is no longer available through BOB in the US, but this fork will work just fine.  It is the identical fork as the BOB Ibex Fork, just painted black with a “Yak” sticker on it.

These forks include BOB’s Pin and Lanyard attachment system, pin storage hooks to keep the pins secure when the trailer is off the bike, and a Fork Through Bolt. The fork does not include a quick release, so make sure you have the appropriate size QR to effectively convert your trailer.

The standard fork is for use with 26″ mountain bikes and some road/gravel bikes.

BOB never falters in strength and versatility, keep on ridin’!

Fitting Notes:

The shorter 26″ fork measures 14.125″ from the center of the axle to the back of the fork.

To determine which fork size will fit your bike, measure from the center of the axle to outer circumference of the tire.  If this measurement is smaller then the above fork measurement the wheel/tire should fit.  Generally it is a good idea to have at least 1″ of clearance.  If the clearance is very close, the profile and knobs of the tire might hit.

Additionally BOB Trailers can be made to work with some Fat Bikes, though the bending of the fork to make this happen will void the warranty.  This article explains how it can be done.

The improved and up-to-date 26″ forks can be modified for installation on older versions of the BOB trailer by simply drilling out the holes in the fork tabs with a 1/4″ drill bit.

I have had my Bob trailer since the late 90's took it on many adventures. This year I started looking at upgrading my bike and ended up with a 29er that I also purchased with campfire cycling. The fork took a tiny bit of flexing but fits fine. It won't be long before I hit the trail again. The purchases through campfire cycling went very smoothly and everything arrived at my door as it should.

Excellent service and products

This Fork looks amazing, I'm mounting today. I got exactly what I needed for my trailer and it was all in stock and shipped up to Canada in just a couple weeks. I had excellent customer service and they went above and beyond what they needed to do. Thanks so much!!

Fork/skewer for a fat bike

I’m just having the fork fitted for a 170mm rear hub. It just needs a slight tweak and it’s looking like it’s going to work out fine.
