The Burley Travoy is a great option for any cyclist whose landscape contains elevators, commuter trains, taxis, and bodegas. With accessories, the Urban Trailer System™ is not just your bike trailer; it’s your shopping cart, your messenger bag, and your briefcase.

The Travoy is quite flexible in offering a variety of load carrying configurations. The Travoy is designed to work with several combinations of Travoy specific upper and lower bags. Consider the Travoy Market Bags or the Travoy Transit Bags.

The included Travoy tote bag functions as both a lower bag for the Travoy and as a storage bag when the trailer is folded up. The Travoy neatly becomes the size of a briefcase when and not in use. Mix and match the upper and lower Travoy bags to suit your needs.

The Travoy is well suited to carry a variety of loads that do not fit in the Travoy bags, with the use of the Travoy Tie Down Straps (2 included with Travoy). The body of the Travoy is perfect for cradling all sorts of loads. A few loads that come to mind: a stack of boxes, golf clubs, a vaccuum, a pile of hand tools and a whole lot more….

The Travoy hitch mounts to your bicycle’s seat post. This may not be compatible with some rack-top bags or rear-mounting children’s bike seats.

Exactly what I wanted.

I've bought a few different "systems" for carrying things by bike. Front and rear panniers, an Xtracycle cargo extension, bikepacking bags. They all have their place, but I suspect that 90% of their use will be supplanted by this well made trailer. Light enough to carry, easy tracking behind the bike, strong connection to the seatpost, and easy to use strap connection points make this the least hassle by far. I wish I hadn't waited to buy the trailer. The updated Bikeshophub.com made this purchase easy. The new design is uncluttered but holds sufficient detail to compare several choices, and a coupon code that I could use on a never-goes-on-sale item was really helpful too. Thanks!

Burley Travoy Bike Cargo Trailer

I bought this trailer in June, 2012 so I have close to two years experience with it.

Everythi-ng about this trailer is excellent except for one thing - it tends to tip over if you don't slow down (a lot) for bumps, handicapped ramps, driveways, etc. When it tips it doesn't take the bike (and you) with it, but if you're traversing a ramp from a sidewalk or driveway into the street, it is at risk of tipping over in the middle of the street.

The tires call for 35PSI max but inflation greater than 10-15 makes it even more susceptible to tipping -- it literally bounces when traversing bumps. I run with less than 10PSI to prevent tipping but even then, there are particular handicapped ramps that I traverse often over which, if I don't slow down significantly -- almost to a stop -- the trailer will tip every time.

I bought a few of the bags Burley makes to accompany this trailer but returned them. You can lash a $7 clothes hamper to it with bungees and you'll never fill it up.

The up-leaning design is great because it's easy to maneuver when un-hitched.

This trailer really needs some type of suspension. I still use it daily and like it otherwise but I must remain mindful to slow down for bumps, almost to a stop.

Burley Travoy Bike Cargo Trailer

Well I have had the Trailer for 12 months and find it very good for shopping at the local farmers market and supermarket, I use the upper and lower shopping bags, on occasions I need to pick up and drop off large parcels to the post office.

I like the fact I can wheel it around for shopping and then when home simply wheel into the kitchen to unload, none of this lugging bags in from the car.

the build quality is very good, I have had only one flat caused by a cathead thorn, some green slime fixed that, I normally run the tyres at 30psi and bouncing is not a problem, when I fill up the trailer with 15-20kilos of shopping it doesn't bounce any more, only time it might tip is if I hit a ramp wrong or one time I had too many heavy things on one side, otherwise I find the trailer very stable.

Burley Travoy Bike Cargo Trailer

I'm a carless guy and a mechanical engineer with about 15,000 miles on bikes. I bought this to pick up my groceries 7 miles away my home. Previously I've I owned a Burley Tailwagon, a Burley Flatbed and several Bobs. I was amazed at the quality of this trailer, especially at this price. I just did my first 14 mile trip with it behind my Trek 6700. It rides perfectly, and seems to have very little wheel friction and air drag. I found the supplied bag sufficient for a weeks groceries. Kudos to the people at Burley who made it all come together. Fabulous job on this product.
