Overview
Fleecer Ridge is one of the toughest climbs on the incredible Tour Divide, traversing the Rocky Mountains from Canada to the Mexican border. Tackling a ride that long requires a tire that can handle varied conditions, from deep snow and mud, fast gravel and pavement. The Fleecer Ridge is a bikepacking-specific tire from Rene Herse that was designed and developed alongside ultra endurance cyclist Lael Wilcox and named after her favorite climb on the Tour Divide.
The Fleecer Ridge is available in one size: 700C x 55 mm (or 29″ x 2.2″) and you have a choice in both style and width, and casing.. The Standard casing strikes a balance between affordability, comfort and speed without compromising on durability. The Endurance casing on the other hand comes reinforced with extra sidewall protection while retaining the speed and comfort.Being an all-rounder, it spots large knobs with generous space in between to provide traction on loose and soft surfaces, while the knobs are spaced to put more rubber on the road
The Fleecer Ridge is a solid tire choice for your next bikepacking and gravel adventure. Marketed as bikepacking/gravel/all-round tires, the Fleecer ridge was also the world’s first bicycle tire with noise cancellation and has since been the recipient of Bikepacking.com’s coveted ‘Gear of the Year’ award’ for the ‘Best New Component.’
