The latest taillight from Sinewave Cycles can connect through virtually any DC power supply: a front dynamo light, USB battery, eBike system, or run directly to the front dynamo hub—a setup that eliminates the requirement of a front dynamo light like most other DC taillights.


Overview

An American-made taillight offering multiple power options, straightforward mode selection, and simple installation across a range of setups: it can be powered from a headlight’s taillight output or connected straight to the dynamo hub (thanks to a design that can handle full dynamo power), and it also supports DC power sources from 3.5V to 36V.

Blinking or steady mode is determined by toggling the green wire or reversing the connection on DC setups, with no effect on headlight performance. The red and black wires have no polarity, and the included ~6″ wire length can be extended as needed.

The lens doubles as a reflector for extra visibility even when off, and the shape provides side visibility.

Flexible mounting options include bolting to an eyelet or using adapters for a rack or seat post; an M5x35mm bolt and washers are included in the box.

A built-in standlight remains illuminated for about five minutes, ensuring dependable visibility in every scenario.

Multiple power options

  • Can connect directly to the taillight output of a dynamo headlight
  • Can connect directly to the dynamo.  Other dynamo taillights cannot handle the full power of the dynamo and must be protected by the headlight.  The Sinewave Taillight CAN handle the full dynamo power.
    • This allows you to use the Taillight without a headlight, or to connect the Taillight to the dynamo in parallel with the headlight, so the Taillight will always be on while the headlight can be switched on and off.
  • Can connect to a DC power supply, including an eBike controller or USB battery.

Selectable blinking mode

  • The Taillight can be configured in either steady or blinking mode.

Flexible mounting options

  • The Taillight can be mounted anywhere on the bike, either directly or with a simple adapter.
