Overview
Full steam ahead with the Tara!
The most popular Tubus front rack has been improved over recent years, and is well known as the indestructible burro. We recommend the Tara for those customers, who need a lowrider for rough use and alot of luggage. The reason why this lowrider is stronger than our others, is, that the Tara has a tube diameter of it’s maintube of 14 mm.
What is the Big Apple? Read below…
Racks are a great way to get extra storage capacity and spread out your gear when touring with a bike trailer. The Tara front rack works with forks that have eyelets on the dropouts. The adjustable upper swing arms can be bolted into forks that have threaded mid-fork eyelets. For forks that don’t have mid-fork eyelets use the Tubus Mid-Fork Eyelets for standard or over-sized forks.
Mount a pair of rugged waterproof Ortlieb Classic Panniers to the Tubus Tara.

The Tara Big Apple is a larger version of the original Tara, it’s used for bikes that have ballon and other larger width tires.
Note: When using panniers with Ortlieb’s Lower QL-1 Hooks such as the Ortlieb Roller Classic Panniers with Tubus Tara or Duo racks, adjust the pannier’s lower mounting hook. After removing the hook, rotate the grommet 90 degrees adding an additional 5 mm of width for wider rack diameters.
