The city of Bogot, Colombia, is very famous for their amazing Cyclovia’s, which happen on a weekly basis. However, they are still improving the city for cyclists by creating a more permanent sense of Cyclovia through their extensive bikeway system, which you can see in the film here from Streetfilms. One of the most important aspects of their bikeway system is that it doesn’t just serve the upper and middle class neighborhoods but also focuses on the poorer neighborhoods, since cycling is a great transportation option for people with all levels of income. To add to that, the city considers the transportation needs of all cyclists as equal to those of motorists. Very cool!Riding Bogota’s Bountiful Protected Bikeways from Streetfilms on Vimeo.
