To assist in its review of Bicycle Friendly Businesses, Bicycle Friendly Communities and Bicycle Friendly Universities, the League of American Bicyclists is seeking knowledgeable cyclists for its local reviewer database.
The Bicycle Friendly America program, which includes categories ranging from small businesses to states and universities, recognizes the efforts of people and organizations dedicated to improving cycling and provides encouragement and resources for groups working to develop cycling programs and initiatives.
Applications submitted to the BFA program are reviewed not only by a panel of national bicycle experts but also by local bicyclists to obtain a balanced and inclusive perspective.
The League estimates that each review takes about 30 to 60 minutes, and the local reviewer has approximately three weeks to complete the review.
To learn more about becoming a BFA program local reviewer, fill out the League's survey or contact them at bfa@bikeleague.org.
