This is a great video by the Mexican office of the Institute for Transportation and Development Policy via Streetsblog and Copenhagenize. The premise of the video is that despite how easy the car is to use for individual people on a daily basis, it has very large societal costs over the long term. By explaining subsidies, induced demand, and other externalities in a clever and interesting way, the video produces a strong overall message that car use is truly a burden on society as a whole. I highly recommend taking less than four minutes to watch it. The video is in Spanish with English subtitles.
